School officials are investigating an “incident” that was reported by a parent that involved Glastonbury High football coach Eric Hennessy in September, Glastonbury Superintendent of Schools Alan Bookman said Wednesday.
Bookman said that Hennessy is still coaching during the investigation and that a parent made a complaint at a school board meeting recently.
“(The parent) made this claim and we’re looking into it,” Bookman said. “We talked to the other coaches. We talked to kids. We also have video. We’ll probably wrap it up by (Thursday).”
Neither Hennessy nor Glastonbury High athletic director Trish Witkin responded to a request for comment. Hennessy is in his fifth year of coaching at Glastonbury. The Guardians (3-1) have a bye week this week and will play at Southington Oct. 18.
